Elizabeth Dale, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Elizabeth Dale lived in Blacksburg, Virginia for 8 years, and just recently moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. She completed both undergraduate and doctorate at Virginia Tech. While in school, she worked as a research assistant in the investigation of the molecular basis of the magnetic compass, focusing on a newly discovered class of photopigment molecules (cryptochromes) believed to play a role in a photoreceptor-based magnetic compass. She has a strong interest in research and figuring out why things do what they do. She loves small mammals, especially rats! Her favorite animal is the elephant and volunteered at an elephant sanctuary in Thailand. She enjoys horseback riding, whether it's barrel racing, western pleasure, or trail riding. She has special interests in exotic medicine, surgery, and toxicology.
